Day 1 - Your Best Friend
Dear Darling (insert your name),

We have been best friends since the stone age(yes, that's how old you are)and we have been through trials and tribulations together. I invented the wheel, a square contraption that we used to play with indoors and out, rain or sun, as long as we played together. The little wheel with all our stored memories.

You found fire. With it came great warmth and passionate feelings that consumed me. Your fire fueled my wheel and it as our friendship grew stronger, the wheel rolled harder.

Not everything was smooth-flowing though. They were times where our differences held great and arguments were rife. But we forgave and made up. The true friend overlooks nothing but forgives you everything. (Insert your name), you are a true friend and I thank you.

With camaraderie,
BeeoftheUniverse

Post-OBS

WOOOO! First day of school and well, IT HAS BEEN GREAT LIKE WOOHOOO!
I CAN FINALLY PROUDLY ANNOUNCE THAT I'VE READ THE LOTR!
And borrowed W. Somerset Maugham's collection of stories. I LEARNT OF THIS GREAT EBOOK WEB. I'm SO GOING TO FIND A LOT OF BOOKS THAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THERE. Next book on my list, the COMMUNIST MANIFESTO. Weeeeeeeeeee.

I had a creative writing competition today. The every time last minute one. Well, HAD A FUN TIME WRITING WITH MY TABLEMATES.

Koped my story and well, here it is :D

Topic: The Stairs

To me, stairs represent advancement, the overcoming of odds. I believe that everyone has their own set of stairs. These stairs are invisible to all and yet they determine where we stand in life. Men, women and children, regardless of age, race or nationality, carry the world on their shoulders. Be it family matters, work-related problems, academic or moral responsibility, we are constantly burdened by something. We carry our responsibilities on our backs and go through life with them.

Life, a set of stairs leading towards the heavens above. We can only hike forward, up this stairs of life with our burdens and responsibilities. Often, obstacles in the form of steps are thrown before us. How we face these challenges affects how our lives would turn out. You could choose to tighten your hold on your responsibilities, face your problems, conquer them and advance forward or you could choose to let go, roll back down the steps and give up.

We are presented opportunities to choose. It is our choice and our future depends on our hands only. I would very much prefer the first choice. Perseverance and strength is necessary here. The distance between steps might get bigger but if we line the floor of these steps with our tears and sweat and give it our best, the challenges can and will be overcome.

Just remember, the more we conquer, the higher we climb. We would be advancing in life. We would think and learn from our mistakes and grow. We would climb these steps to reach for a better future.

It would take much willpower and perseverance from you to conquer these steps but to roughly quote Martin Luther King Jr., " The Greatness of a Man is Not Measured in Times of Comfort and Peace but At Times of Challenge and Controversy." Our steps lead up and there is still a long way to go but for all that we have conquered and achieved so far, I can proudly announce that we are great people! Woohoo!
                                     The End.

Counter-Pain

The aches and bites and the deep dark suntan are nothing. Camp 2 Delta pwns all! It's sad that we'll never see the OBS Camp 2, camp in random places, mass urinate in seas and bushes, kayak around Ubin and then get caught in the storm, hike with super heavy bags, look for muah chye and tau sar pau, hear Belvy singing Nickleback's Never Gonna Be Alone, feed beth, hear about wild boars in the sea/tent/land/sky/toilet or compare **** sizes again. Let's jetty jump if we ever see each other again. When you say KFC, I think of Doreen. I think of Elizabeth and her dog. I'll look at the sea and remember the storm. I'll go on hikes and think of that day. I'll look at Ubin and think of us.

OBS Watch: Cousteau 3rd week of June 2010

All These Things That I Have Done

Hello :)

(Silence)

June holidays have been packed. There's a lot that I can type but I don't know where to start...
The memories of the days before linger in my mind but they are rapidly disintegrating :O
Fragments, soon to be forgotten.
It would be nice if we could replay the scenes in our life. Our mind, the wide screen 3D television. Pause, play, stop, life's buttons. Wait and an upload and share button to expose our dirty linen to the world. Might as well add a 'tweet' button (max. 140 characters).
XD

June Holiday Happenings:

  1. Camp Gem Preparation
  2. Camp Gem + Campfire
  3. Choir Camp
  4. CIP
  5. ULP CS2
  6. ULP lil meets
  7. ULP Camp
  8. Jigoku Shoujo
  9. Cousin's House
  10. YOG briefing
  11. Father's Day
  12. OBS
  13. Physics Test

I may have forgotten some stuff...
You see, memories ARE forgotten!
Oh well

  1. This really took me on a whirlwind trip. Excluding the initial meetings to discuss the skeleton of the camp, this meet, the last meet we had, was a meeting to iron things out and get the logistics. First stop was at Fairprice (Hougang Point), we carried the things to school(RCY room). I had to get campfire logs with the logs i/c so Julienne, Yee En and I went to the bus-stop to wait for a bus:D Oooh the bus! We were sitting at the back when J told us something. Do you know that the back of the bus is the most dangerous place to sit in? The engine might explode, it happened before. Regardless of my rambling above about memory, I do remember some stuff, some memories are really worth forgetting though they refuse so. Well, that freaked us out... XP We alighted at Joo Chiat, bought over-priced cloth, ate at K.F.C. and took a bus to East Coast. We wandered through the route Alpha took during RCYC. We got some sand for campfire illegally. And we played (You can see the pictures on FB) Though we weren't supposed to. And Jia Qi and Melissa were rushing us. And we should have hurried. But we didn't. We took an MRT to Farrer Park afterwards, got the prizes and campfire logs at Mustafa. Imagine lugging three bottles of sand all this time. Then we went to Hougang Mall. We took a bus to Hougang Point. To get lightsticks and meet QW. We then walked back to school and painted the exco flag till 7 pm, till we got chased out. I thought of some stuff then. Look below VV.
T.T The photo can't be uploaded. Oh. Look at the time! I need to pack my bag for OBS and do some stuff for Neutrality.
I'll update in five days.
WATCH OUT!

:)
